Can you show me what my smile can look like ahead of time with imaging software?

We certainly can, and we're very excited about the new technology of intra-oral cameras because it is just one of the new tools that has revolutionized dentistry. Not too long ago, our patients just had to trust what we saw in their mouths and how we described it. Maybe they could see something of what we explained by looking in the mirror. But today, it's entirely different. With an intra-oral camera, you can see the inside of your mouth magnified 35 times and nothing is left to your imagination. We take a picture of your mouth, feed it into the computer; and based on scientific calculations, we can show you what your new smile will look like. We'll even let you take some pictures home and show them to your friends and family before deciding on what type of treatment you want.

I really don't like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?

We realize that some patients are apprehensive about receiving dental care. That's why we have worked hard to garner a reputation for making patients as comfortable and relaxed as possible. If necessary, we can offer qualified patients a small pill before receiving dental treatment for sedation. For even more relaxation, we can offer nitrous oxide. We don't think you have to suffer through any dental treatment. We hope those days are long gone. We're also known for giving pain-free injections. After applying a topical anaesthetic, the spot becomes numb, and all you feel is a gentle injection. If you haven't been to the dentist in a while, it's time to come back because our sedation techniques have advanced tremendously.

Don't panic, we can fix it. You'll want to call us right away and by talking to you we can tell you if you need to come in for emergency dental treatment, or if you can wait until the next business day. Most patients, after talking to us, are instructed to re-adhere the piece onto the tooth with a little bit of toothpaste. Yes, this is something you can try at home! Or, you can try using an over-the-counter dental cement found in most drugstores to place the temporary back.

I want my teeth to look better. Are there options other than braces? What would you recommend?

If you haven't been to the dentist in a while, you're probably in for a few pleasant surprises. Braces aren't the only cure for crooked teeth anymore, especially for adults. For many adult patients, porcelain veneers can do wonders. The placement of porcelain veneers is a procedure that might take only two or three visits with instantaneous results, versus braces, which might take about two years to provide comparable results. Call us for an appointment, and we'd be happy to explain more.
